When is a good time to take a Week Off from Exercise? Weights and Cardio? I have always been confused about this...
Great Question! Some people wait too long and some people do it too much. If you are exercising regularly it is always a good idea to take 5-7 days off every 8-10 weeks. This is especially important if you are doing resistance training with weights at least 3 days per week. As far as the cardio you could go a little longer. If you are doing intense cardio then you may need rest more often.
It is always a good idea to listen to YOUR BODY! If you are feeling tired and weak then this is usually a sign to back off and let your body rest.
